Mathematics doesn’t always have to be that hard. Most especially in junior high school. Reading your blog on how to make Math easier just made the subject more exciting than dreading. This could be of help to a lot of students out there, especially those who are in difficulty with this subject. I will definitely use these tips in my Mathematics class and I will surely recommend this site to my fellow students to help them somehow. There's a lot of useful tricks on this site that will never disappoint us. Who would've thought I would get excited by the sound of the word "Mathematics"? Thanks to this blog!
ReplyDeleteNowadays, whenever students hear the word "math" uttered by others, they have given a lot of descriptions. Boring subject, very hard, many numbers to deal with, many formula to memorize and etc. But in fact, math is really an interesting subject if we just put our hearts into it. Students nowadays want their lessons as easy as 1, 2, 3. They don't want to think critically or being challenged in finding the solution of a given problem. Students got easily bored in long method solution that they find math a very hard and boring subject. But we have realize the importance of knowing the hardest and long method before coming up with a short method solution. And in math, we are free to discover our own way to solve a certain problem without exactly following our teacher's method. I, personally love to create my own technique in dealing with problems. And I can't explain the feeling whenever I come up with the same answer. We have a lot of ways to get away from the complexity of mathematics especially today that we can browse the net to search the topics that we cannot understand fully. And this blog is a big help to make others fully aware that math is not that difficult as they think it is. Continue in spreading good news to others that have difficulty in realizing that math is fun. God bless Sir!
ReplyDeleteMaths being easy or difficult depends on how much you practice, if you practice it a lot it will be really easy.however, it is so heavily stigmatized that people begin to have the wrong ideas when going into math. as students we always getthe idea that math is boring, or math is difficult, or math is something no one wants to do. it is perceived as a hard thing bc many students had a bad beginning. math is highly foundation-based and it continues to build as u go higher up in education. but apparently students these days lack the foundation. another thing is that the students dont appreciate its application. so many times ive got the question "when will i use this in real life" the thing is, you won’t use most of it in real life. however, these things are still important to do, because they help us grow in different ways. but a lot of reason why maths seems difficult is the ways it is taught in school. so it is really helpful to find ways on how we can teach the lessons in a much easier way. I have used some of the techniques that you presented and they really helped! I hope you continue doing this blog as it really is informative and interesting. more power to you sir!
ReplyDeleteIndeed there are lot of ways or techniques to answer mathematical problems. We can even make strategy to answer problem in our own convenient way, wherein no one can say "yours is wrong" as long as you arrived in the correct answer and that you've already tested it for some problems. The only problem I see here is that students might get confuse if you put a twist in the problem if they only know the techniques or the what we call shortcuts. For me, it is important for the students to learn first the basic concepts and let them think for their own style in dealing math problems. This blog I think is highly recommended for both mathematics teachers and students . There are additional information here which teachers can use in teaching, but see to it they will discuss first the basic before jumping to these strategies. For students who seek advancement to answer problems in the quickest way they can be, anyway the blogger provided essential informations regarding the topic before giving the main concern (thumbs up to that).Hoping for more visitors to come.
